Three words that have become reason for joyful anticipation for the youth of our churches. For the past eight years, every spring we get together with young people of the same ethnic Romanian yoke and celebrate our Lord in a weekend of music and warm fellowship. This year the Festival was very close to home for us, in beautiful Bay Area, only about 6 hours away from Los Angeles. We went with the desire to praise God and to do it together with our brothers and sisters from all across the United States and we did. We had the opportunity to worship our Lord together with youth from Romanian churches from Illinois, North Carolina, Florida, Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. What a great rehearsal for heaven! Certainly, this event was not only two days long. It began long before February 12, probably sometime in September of last year when we had our first rehearsal, and it has been a great journey. We came out of it richer in musical knowledge, friendships, memories and above all a better understanding of the joy being together with God’s people, praising God can bring. After all, this is what we were created to do. Can’t wait for next year’s Festival, but until then we will continue to grow in the knowledge and in the presence of our Lord in our lives. That’s what we are here for.
